#AskingGod Part Three "If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you..." (John 15:7 KJV). How interesting that this is today's Bible verse on #YouVersion #BibleApp. My friend who reached out for clarity asked me to write more on the subject, so I drafted a post last night and decided to sleep on it, thinking maybe God might give me more inspiration on this... He sure did. God gave me a dream. I was in trouble, and I was being asked for a bribe by an official. When I had the chance, I called my dad. I didn't pray. I didn't ask God. And that's when I woke up. You see, it is so deeply entrenched in us to not ask God for help, maybe because we feel He is unresponsive or we are in haste. But if we cultivate the habit of talking to Him and asking Him, I think it would not only save us from a lot of trouble, but if we do fall into trouble, and we call on Him, believing, because of the relationship we have nurtured, He will answer us...and swiftly too. God really wants us to start relying on Him like we really believe He is God. He isn't offended by our wants and needs. In fact, it would be so terrible if we found ourselves in trouble, and God was our last resort... He wants to be our first, and ever present help in time of need, and our counsellor and friend in all seasons... God bless you with #GraceandTruth. Look out for my blogpost on this matter. And if you haven't already, do get the book that inspired this discourse, #RachelsHope. You can preorder the Kindle version, and the paperback is available to order from Amazon now.
