Daily Fungi Fact 78: Corticioid fungi, sometimes referred to as crust fungi or patch fungi, are very important for decomposition of wood, as most of the 1700 species of corticioid fungi are wood decomposers. Some corticioid species have been known to be ectomycorrhizal(forms symbiotic relationship with plant roots).

hi! your blanket is so pretty (and your cat is so cute)!! may i ask what yarn you're using? is it one colourway/skein or are you alternating colours/using scraps? i would also ask about the stitch and structure etc but i don't know anything about crochet to actually internalise that information

thank you! i used three skeins of wool yarn that my brother blended and spun - they're a blend of corriedale and merino that looked like this prior to crocheting:

and the stitch is just basic double crochet, 80 stitches per row!
