A Don’t Fall Asleep Excerpt
Transcript:
Winter Newman wasn’t in the supermarket anymore.
The silence was deafening. The lack of movement was dire as if everything had retreated somewhere without her knowing. Lurking there, waiting to take a hit o her; scream at her ears, tell her to get out.
Then, she heard a deep thud, engine faintly whirring across where she stood. Sound bounced between the walls she couldn’t see. Blaring white light followed immediately, flashing straight at her, almost blinding. It illuminated the path where she stood, making the white tiles visible. The rest of the area was still drowned in darkness, swallowing the light trying to reach in.
The cart was gone. Nina was gone. She was definitely, horrendously, alone.
Winter closed her eyes then, chanting to herself. Praying for light, hoping to wake herself up if this had been a dream. Please, she pleaded. Please.
Note: Thank you for reading! It needs more...uh...description and creepiness? Hahaha—Have a great day/night!
