Some of my teacher hated the fact that I always needed to have my lotion on me or that I would need to put it on multiple times in class. I got banned from putting it on in class despite it being in my records that I had eczema and they'd always complain that I would be scratching too much or too loudly.
It's things like that that really make me understand something.
I'm brave as hell.
Not because I put up with their intolerance to me having to do certain things for my skin or that I put up with them basically bullying me.
No.
I'm brave as hell because none of them would have lasted an hour in my skin, much less a day.
None of them would be able to handle the constant uncomfortable feeling of their skin tightening.
None of them would be able to handle not being able to be around certain people because their perfume makes their skin react
None of them would be able to handle not knowing why their skin is so angry
None of them would be able to handle the burning and irritation it would cause them especially at night
None of them would be able to handle half the shit I'm forced to deal with every single day
Those of us who have to deal with eczema are strong as hell and no one can tell me otherwise.
