On Saturday Sans Colour was awarded with a gold at the annual European Design Awards in Cologne for 'Best Digital self-promotional website'. I share this award with Onno Schwanen, who is the great developer behind Sans Colour. It couldn't happen without him.
We are both honoured and proud. Thank you ED Awards.
Para que veáis que La Máxima columpiada no tiene ningún secreto os dejamos algunas imágenes de como se hizo "Tjodalv". Los buenos diseñadores no tienen pelos en la lengua.
Frida
Frida is the typeface I created while enrolled in the MA in Typeface Design of the University of Reading in 2006-2007. It is a joint Latin-Tamil typeface, initially designed with newspapers in mind, but suitable to other media such as magazines, small publications and so on.
The typeface earned three recognitions in 2008: one of the TDC prizes at Tokyo TDC 2008 (the typeface creation was presented in Tokyo in April 2008 during the TDC Day Forum); one of the eight 'Constancia de Excelencia" in Tipos Latinos 2008; and it was also a finalist in the European Design Awards 2008.
The typeface is being adjusted very slowly due to the lack of free time to work on it, but will hopefully reach the market at some point in the future.
