A term for when one's ED (eating disorder) or disordered eating causes them to feel gender euphoria. This may be the symptoms, or the disorder itself and all that it means. Not exclusive to any ED.

NOTE:

This term does not glorify EDs. It is simply here to represent a very real experience, one we, ourselves, have, and to ignore it would be to pretend that these people do not exist. EDs are a serious disorder, and we hope everyone who struggles with them finds help, however that may look for them.

Identities are morally neutral, and they do not have to be representing the "healthier" parts of an identity in order to be valid. (Example: many disorders have genders surrounding them)

Rumination Syndrome Flag (MAD Pride Flag)

Rumination syndrome is a functional gastrointestinal disorder and eating disorder.

It causes habitual regurgitation after eating.

[Definition from Cleveland Clinic (more info here)]

This is NOT a gender! This is a flag to represent and raise awareness about a disorder.

Symbolism:

Blue and green were used, since these colors represent NEDA, or, National Eating Disorder Awareness.

The stomach was used to represent the GI aspect of the condition. (Regurgitated food from the stomach)

Butterflies are commonly used as symbols of recovery, so they are used here!

The zig-zag is used as it is imagery I associate with rumination.
