Artist A. Dean Swift is nearing the completion of a mural interpretation of the Kinsey report in a nightclub called the Village Grove, in Greenwich Village, April 16, 1948. Swift's impression of the book is painted on an 11' x 23' wall area and, as of the time this picture was taken, had consumed 20 days of his time. However, he only works four hours a day, from 8 p.m to 12 a.m.—while the club is in full swing. Here, Swift can be seen at work on his mural.
