An impromptu demonstration by migrants staying at the Chaparral “La Esperanza” border camp were pushed away by border law enforcement on both sides of the U.S.-Mexico border on the Tijuana side at the San Ysidro Port of Entry that enters into San Diego, California, during heavy Labor day weekend traffic both by car and foot flowing northward on Friday, September 3, 2021. — Migrants spontaneously came up to the border to seek asylum after a recent San Diego federal court found that U.S. border officials unlawfully sent asylum seekers away from ports of entry and denied their due process rights to be screened for protection claims; the decision at this point has been postponed until all parties claims have been heard—which can take some time. — Both U.S. and Mexican border officials enforced the San Ysidro Port of Entry in large police presence, denying migrants a chance to gather near the area.
