The Road Goes Ever On and On...
Eddie x Reader
Fluff Oneshot
You could feel the green grass crunching against the bottoms of your white converse. The warm sun beaming down on your face, making your cheeks red like roses.
Your boyfriend, Eddie, was smiling at you. His brown doe eyes shimmering in the sunlight-making sparkles in his irises.
He had just got done reading you a chapter of yours and Eddie's favorite book- Lord of the Rings.
"Come outside with me, y/n!" He spoke, a lightbulb flashing above his head. He took your hand in his, dragging you out to the back of his trailer.
"What are we doing, Eds?" You giggled, excited to see him so happy and full of life.
"I am- Eddie the Banished!-" he spoke in a deep, exaggerated voice. It reminded you of the tone he used for the dungeons and dragons campaigns you sit in at every Friday night. "And who might you be?"
You let out a chuckle, staring at him with curiosity. Suddenly, Eddie saw your facial expression change to determination.
"I am y/n the enchanted!" You yelled out to him, getting a short stick and pointing at him. Your white converse were now stained a dusty green.
His grin was wide. His curly brown hair was blowing in the wind. He quickly picked up the garbage can lid next to his feet and armored his body with it. "well-y/n the enchanted-what brings you around here?"
"that's none of your business, Eddie the Banished. But if you must know-i'm here to gather some ingredients for a potion I'm working on." You whimsically said to him- trying your best to look intimidating.
All of a sudden-you saw Eddie run towards you and tackling you to the ground. The grass tickled your arms and your nostrils filled up with the greenery smell.
You both were laughing hysterically. "Eddie!" You got out in between the laughter.
Suddenly it got quiet. Eddie's body weight was on top of you- your eyes were glaring into his as your arms were wrapped around his torso. His hand was stroking your soft hair and brushing his fingertips against your cheek.
He plucked a white flower next to your head and slipped it underneath your hair.
He spoke softly- his brown eyes still swimming into yours.
"And then her heart changed, or at least she understood it; and the winter passed, and the sun shone upon her.”
You smiled at him- recognizing the quote from the book.
You cupped his cheek, your thumb stroking his cheekbone- your thumb making its way down to his lips-softly brushing them.
"I would rather spend one lifetime with you, than face all the ages of this world alone."
