Kaitlin, can we talk about eddie with the crutches waiting for weston at the hospital? like we got eddie holding the crutches, using them for a second and I can imagine he'd even been playing with them while waiting... probably thinking about Chris, probably seeing the differences between these standard crutches and the ones Chris has? he probably knows so much about them/mobility aids... I wish we could see more of that side of eddie, like as a dad of a disabled child, he must know so much about this kind of things

i want eddie to start crossing his wires actually. everyone and their mother has already said that the parallels between the cheerleader and his dad are closer to eddie and ramon than eddie and chris. but now i want eddie to have to confront feeling the way he does about chris, now about this kid, who is also him. eddie didn’t get much choice as a kid, so he will give it unendingly to his own kid. his own dad was absent, and he wants nothing more than to be present. getting to talk to this father and tell him things he wishes someone should have told HIS dad. and then start mixing the metaphors. this cheerleader being him, and ALSO someone he gets to hand crutches to and feel protective of. i want eddie to feel protective of HIMSELF i want him to care about the kid that he was the same way he cares for the kid that he has. I WANT HIM TO SEE THAT HE DESERVED THE LOVE AND THE GRACE THAT HE GIVES, TOO!! i really want him and his parents to talk actually. like desperately. i need more hard conversations. EDDIE DESERVES AMENDS!! this got away from me but you get it
