Now that’s a familiar face. He doesn’t remember ever talking to him, really, but still, hey when you see someone you kinda know you don’t count your skittles. Wait that’s wrong. “Dude, when’d you come in? Anyone else here or-?”

@Edelgem: Melancholy of Fried Vegetables
edelgem
“These fried vegetables are just what I was hoping for! They’re delicious! Your dinners are really improving!”
“Be careful, Keiichi-san! You’re going to spill, wa! Do you think your dinner will run away if you don’t rush like that, wa?”
“Maybe the food won’t run away, but the delicious fresh-made flavor will!”
“It’s only been 10 minutes, wa! So please, calm down and eat more slowly, wa!”
“Ahahaha! That’s true! My bad!”
Satoko smiled in response to Keiichi’s comment. It’d been too since the last time she’d had such a bright evening as this one. Ever since her brother had disappeared, she’d been crushed by a nagging feeling of loneliness. When she wasn’t surrounded by her friends at the club, she was constantly invaded by guilt over what happened, which made even times with Rika deprived of fun.
With Keiichi, however, it was like she had a Nii-Nii all over again. She took care of fun and berated him when he did something wrong at the kitchen (with a dash of traps to give some flavor to it~), while he protected her and spent time with her. It made her the happiest she’d felt in a long time.
Her most sincere wish, much like the boy’s, was that these days would last forever...
The sound of a car horn brought Satoko back to the present. Or better, to this timeline, since the scene she just saw before her eyes never happened to her. Again, that headache afflicted her, forcing her to hold her head with a hand. The frequency of these ‘flashbacks’ is getting bigger and bigger. Just when will they stop intruding her mind?
First, however, what triggered it this time? Looking to her side, Satoko sees the source of it. She was standing in front of a restaurant at Sector 4, where someone seemed to have asked for fried vegetables as their dish. Note to herself: avoid doing those for lunch or dinner while this problem persists. She just hopes not to have bumped in anyone while in her dazed state.
