Thoughts today before New Year’s Eve!

I can see how much he really does try to make a change but I see the excruciating pain and will, it takes for him when he tries. Had a great weekend at the same time grateful but afraid of it turning bad. I’m learning to be more patient and not let myself get upset, learning how to be in control of my own behavior towards anything in life has helped. My 30’s have really woken me up I’d like to see it as if i woke up like in The Matrix. Hitting my own rock bottom has changed me for the best. I love myself too and I gotta take care of myself. My sons are my everything and I fight everyday for them. I want to be there for them strong healthy and happy.

“Why I will never be ok with my spouse coming home drunk”

Some people may say oh come on it was a Christmas party/lunch. Let him have some fun or why does it upset you so much.

The truth is he is an alcoholic since he was a teenager. I was there to see when he first started,I seen it take over him. I’ve seen him at his lowest his bottom. I’ve seen him go to rehab and get help only to fall back to his bad habits. It triggers bad memories. There’s a difference between someone that casually drinks to an alcoholic. You never know what they are going to do next. You end being grateful for the good days because you don’t know when a bad one is coming. All you can do is stay positive for yourself and family!
