It wouldn’t shock me if the princess is actually Ijuna. This doesn’t seem to be as bold a prediction as I thought when I originally read this chapter.

Weisz connecting the dots like this is good, but Laguna was also intending to find another place to hideout. Things just happened to work out like this.
Laguna says that he’d join the government if he had an education. Depending on who was teaching him, that might not have been the case.
We know that Weisz is a good guy because, despite everything he’s done up to this point, he’s willing to kill for his friends. Wait a minute....

It’s worth recognizing that Shiki doesn’t kill because he’s optimistic that anyone can eventually be his friend. This isn’t the perspective of any other Mashima protagonist, even as they’re also against killing.
