I am... back? Maybe??? Slowly but surely starting to be able to do arts, at least.
Here's an evil spaghetti noodle.
EdgeWorld #11 (Comixology Originals, May 2025) cover by Chuck Austen and Patrick Olliffe
Edgeworld characters.
Oh,yeah Merryl has siblings, his half brother Burnest (a dragon/mimic hybrid) ,and his half sister Fridget(Copyrat/mimic),they run what they believe are two seperate companies(heating/cooling) when in actuality they go to the same building(at separate entrances) and through a bizarre series of coincidences and misplaced paperwork, they have no idea they’re sharing essentially the same buisness.
They stop by unannounced to bug, brag, and belittle their sibling, setting off the smoke alarm, and inadvertently icing the floor, and creating slip hazards.
Oh Merryl also has a brother.
...wait,zoom out.

Puzzling out a character for @rattyarts fantastic setting- therewoofs are my favorite! I think I’ll call this one ‘Pickles’ for now.
Hey @rattyarts, I heard you like people turning your characters into species from their universes! I present you Edgeworld Mafia: Harmonia Edition™.
Margaret is an emperor dragon, which technically is one of several dragon races in Harmonia, but it's the only one I have designed right now so bleh. She's from the Arcinian metropole Titanim, still a mafia boss and still more or less the same personality-wise, except now she can turn into a human(oid) when she wants to. She got her neck scars in a fight with George.
Sugarbeans is a centaur from a Windsong clan, and their fascination with fire has caused a lot of problems in said clan. Eventually got kicked out after burning down their house and now works for Margaret. Still lives in Windsong, in the more rural lightly-forested southern end of the island. (oh yeah, this setting's on an Earth that's all broken up into floating islands.)
Shuck is a Shattered Vale halialisk, from one of the many small family groups of halialisks living in the giant canyon-break between the two halves of the Vale. Female halialisks being this colorful is pretty rare! Her natural urge to Be Up to No Good™ is satisfied pretty well by her mafia job. Refuses to wear clothes (aside from the tie, since that's actually pretty close to the decorative neck wraps halialisks already wear).
Blanche is a torrik, the bigger, stronger and scarier biological relatives of halialisks. She's from Windsong Square and has always been pretty distant from torrican traditions. That said, a torrik is a torrik in terms of horrifying levels of physical strength, and torrik Blanche is just about as feral as minotaur Blanche. She will rip you apart. Like Shuck, Blanche's colors (or, in this case, general lack of colors) are pretty rare for torriks.
And last but not least, everyone's favorite tumblr sexyman, Leopold is a northern arcinian. He's from Titanim, and his backstory here's more or less the same- dad died, picked up by Margaret, et cetera. His glass eye is a replacement for one that got stabbed out by George. Still has an absurd array of tattoos under his suit, but dear god I am not drawing that.
i have brainrot for @rattyarts Edgeworld setting, whoops. ANYWAY, meet my stupid hybrid idea. The bug and the man have been isolated. science prevails.
Outwardly appearing as a non-anthropomorphic, cartoony mantis, Norman Mann has been cursed with the true form of a HORRIBLE, WRETCHED THING, mercifully too blurry to make out any of its disgusting details. Norman himself is pretty embarrassed of this, and avoids taking his skin off unless absolutely necessary, which is unfortunately frequent when you don’t have any thumbs or fingers or normal arms. The thing inside his suit seems to change slightly every time it’s freed, cause I’m already struggling to find stock photos in the poses I need, let alone trying to keep a consistent look.
Altough he can look somewhat intimidating due to being a 6ft tall predatory insect with knives for hands, Norman is a very sweet, timid guy, and would much rather go unnoticed instead of being the center of attention. Despite this, he can often be seen with colorful, elaborate temporary tattoos and dyes, because pretty much every body mod artist he meets goes absolutely apeshit for the chance to work on those big beautiful wings and plates. i mean look at them, they’re like a blank canvas just BEGGING to be painted on! Norman usually obliges, because he’s a pushover and also deep down likes to feel pretty every now and then.
I still gotta figure out his job
