Watching episode 2 of the new season of Dragons Rising and lemme just say i am SO glad they are bringing up the larger and more devastating effects that the Tomorrow Tea had on Lloyd and how it has impacted him, his identity, and his own understanding of himself more than he and the other ninja initially thought!

The Tomorrow Teas impact can basically be viewed as a metaphor for needing to grow up fast or being forced to grow up too quickly because of your circumstances. In the original season it was frightening to see Lloyd rapidly age because it meant that the time for him to confront and fight his father was closer than the team had anticipated, but we never got to see how this forced aging changed him in other ways. Im so glad that they are looking at it now though.

Could it just be the writers bull shitting stuff to help move Lloyds character arc forward considering that the original show was supposed to only have that one season from 2011? Perhaps. Do i care if that’s there reasoning? Not really because i think this is sick as fuck and i love over analyzing the dumb stupid media i consume.

Okay so I finally wrote up my plan for the rest of the edits for Hodgepodge Island (until my extra players are added and more holidays pass which both might change things) and at a bare minimum it is going to cost 50,000 bells and take me 2 weeks..

And that's actually way better than I thought it might be! That's way more doable tbh!

Today I will start with some hotel renovations and maybe some pathway stuff but I'm too tired to start on the big stuff like moving trees and houses today.

Would y'all want to see a terribly edited map or perhaps my written concepts?

I'm worried that somehow I'm playing through new horizons too fast... I mean I'm still having so much fun and I still have so so much to do before I consider my island "finished" -- but also I've been seeing people say it took them years to earn certain nook miles stamps that I already have (and I've only been playing since March of this year)... I'm not even trying for those stamps! I'm just playing the same way I've played new leaf and wild world. Also I have a lot more time to play than most people which could explain it... And with nook miles + I'm not worried about ever running out if/when I collect all of the stamps but I'm just feeling like surprised by how fast everything is happening? I'm certainly not rushing anything, I don't even time travel!! Idk...

Sooo my noise cancelling headphones aren't helping with the fireworks.... I have them over my earbuds which are loudly playing music because that's the only way to block enough sound that I don't start crying lmao

This isn't about anyone here but y'all you cannot recommend an actual book with fanfic terms because then you spoil the whole book. Saw someone advertising their own debut novel as "rivals to lovers, slow burn, with a bit of fake dating." Combine that with the title and now I know everything about your book and it hasn't even come out yet!

Those terms work because they're used to talk about established stories and people basically playing with dolls y'know? But this isn't an established book!

I'm not trying to be mean or anything; I'm just genuinely baffled that people do this?

Idk if I'm even articulating this the way I want to do if y'all get weird in the notes I'm taking away your notes privileges

I finally have a plan to make my room feel like mine! It's gonna take several months and probably about $2000 but I finally have a plan! Plus it can totally be done in stages and still be good. It's not something that has to be done all at once.

Step one is painting my walls, changing out my curtain rod, and fixing my shelves. That sounds like more than one step but like I already will have to get things away from my walls to paint them so it's actually easier to just group it all together.

Idk when this whole thing will start yet but hopefully this month!

I'm having one of those days where I'm so bitey and angry about everything and I don't like feeling like this. I keep trying to calm down but things keep pissing me off..

I've had coffee and water and food and my morning meds. I'm also playing my favorite game and watching one of my comfort shows but nothing seems to be helping.

Does anyone have some fun facts or cute pets they can share with me? Maybe that'll help.

It's too hot for me to really be using my laptop because I don't have a desk but I need to type up some stuff and update a spreadsheet of mine (before it gets any bigger and I abandon it)....

Also my fan is currently charging so it's really too hot for me to be on my laptop rn...

But I wanna be working on stuff I can only use my laptop for.
