“Why is it easier to get a gun than it is to adopt a child?”

Edit 3/15/18 8:14 EST:
This was meant to show that there are laws and rules and stuff that make it very difficult to adopt a child. A child that just wants love. These are in place to protect this child from harm, be it abusive parents, an unsafe household, you name it. There need to be laws on guns that protect children from harm as well. Don’t get rid of guns. Just make it so there are rules (such as a stricter background check, training, a shorter amount of time between license renewal, etc.)
There were a lot of quotes like this today. “Why is is easier to get a gun than a car?” Why is it easier for me to walk into a school with a gun than it is for me to get treated in the ER?” Etc.
it was not meant to imply that a child is something that you own.
It was meant to imply that if there are so many rules protecting children that are being adopted, why are there not more rules to protect children from guns?
I said this in the replies but people obviously weren’t seeing it before they yelled about how stupid I am so here. Read it.
