Hi guys! :) I'm new to Tumbler, but I imagine this will be an IT account. Here's an AU (genderbent AU) I've been thinking about for quite some time!
The Losers' Club
So, I imagine the Losers' Club, as girls, wouldn't be friends with Beverly. I think they'd pity her, but nothing else. I also think they'd be the novel age (10-11, also still in 1958) and would be really tight knit. Like, really really tight knit. I also imagine they'd have a 'favorite' Bowers Gang member, but for no real reason. Kinda like the novel, ig?
I imagine that they would spend their time in The Barrens, just like the novel. I think they might fancy a treehouse over an underground clubhouse? Idk. But I think they'd hide it very well from Bowers, like how they used sticks to cover the trapdoor, they'd probably use a really thick and dense tree.
I think they'd be really affectionate, like switching clothes sometimes or cuddling, something like that. I also think they'd have a different relationship with the Bowers Gang, but definitely not an affectionate one.
Wilma 'Billie' Denbrough
I think Billie would have a super cottage core/ soft girl vibe
Like, little dresses with flower designs or baby color skirts and shirts
She'd definitely love to draw and write, and would read her stories aloud in an attempt to help her stutter
I also think her favorite Bowers Gang member would be Hennessy 'Henley' Bowers (fem. Henry)
Not for the reason she's nice to Billie, but because she and Billie have things in common, and have dim respect for each other
She'd definitely love to sew and bake
Her friends always ask her for sweet treats

They were definitely a lot more complicated than the boys. They were probably a lot more affectionate, though.
I feel like Henley and Victoria would steal clothes from each other, and Regina and Stevie (female Moose Sadler) would love to wrestle.
They all definitely loved smoking together, and having sleepovers. She also loved doing each other's makeup, and probably all did the Weekly Shopper job together. They all also definitely had a favorite Loser.
Hennessy 'Henley' Bowers
Henley was definitely really rebellious against her mother
She definitely wore tiny skirts and short shirts to get on her nerves, and always that pink leather motorcycle jacket
I think she'd do her own piercings too; snake bites, septum, tongue, lip, you name it
She was definitely the smallest out of Regina and Victoria, and loved being in their arms for no reason
