Last night my new stool collaboration with @editionoffice was unveiled in a @ngvmelbourne Melbourne Design Week exhibition titled ‘After Hours’ @VolkerHaug Studio . Hawthorn House, 2016

Location: Hawthorn, Victoria, Australia Area: 450 m2 Program: Single-family house

Two monolithic concrete volumes connected on ground level by hallway and open sight connections through glass walls. Concrete arches ground connection recalls Tama Art Museum Library (Toyo Ito). No apertures in concrete shell on upper floors but rooms are daylight by glass walls facing terraces. Smaller upper volume houses master suite, with huge bathroom with bathtub facing one terrace and shower facing other terrace + office.
