Premiere Mix and Match - red and black.
For the Outlander Season 8 Premiere in New York City on 2 March, Caitríona Balfe wore a custom, lingerie-inspired, floor-skimming vibrant red, lace-trimmed silk slip dress designed by Nicolas Ghesquière at Louis Vuitton, with black shoes and nails.
The gown featured a plunging neckline and delicate lace detailing along the bodice and hem, set off by minimalist diamond jewelry, including a necklace and earrings. The look was described as a departure from traditional, dramatic red carpet gowns, favoring a "delicate" and "fluid" silhouette that highlighted the actress's "porcelain complexion," according to Red Carpet Fashion Awards. She walked the red carpet alongside co-star Sam Heughan.
Sam wore a bespoke Black Stewart with black contrast kilt created by Siobhan McKenzie, showing history with a contemporary style and craftsmanship. Bias-cut tartan through the kilt and waistcoat, with tartan touches across the black Argyle jacket and the garters. As a nod to his co-star the jacket lining and sporran strap echoed her dress; matte black buttons and kilt buckles offered a subtle, refined finish.
