"What's a miqo'te. Let me look at you. Well, scrape me on the carpet and call me shocked, she does have a tail an' ears! Wowsers mousers, a real miqo'te!"
Is there a part of MSQ your WoL/OC did not participate in?
My WoL has been in MSQ 100%
My WoL was not present in _____ because ____
My WoL retired after Endwalker, a new WoL has taken over for Dawntrail onwards
My OC is not the WoL and exists completely outside MSQ canon
Other/show me the results
My WoL retired during 5.3. She did not fight Elidibus at the Seat of Sacrifice; she told him he was right about everything. He told her not to say that unless she meant it, and left. C'rrahsa meant it.
She was having a total breakdown with regret over the ending of 5.0. To this day she's not sure whether she remembers rightly, or just made it up out of hope, that it wasn't her skinny little mage stick arm that could lift that axe, but Ardbert's own, possessing her. She did not think she could lift it nor did she want to, but somehow she was swinging it and that was the only reason she killed Emet-Selch, one of the rarest people in all of creation, the storehouse of memory for a beautiful people she felt she could almost remember. Her regret consumed her. She thought of all the Ascians she'd shattered, not knowing what treasures they held or what they were or what they really wanted. She saw ghosts everywhere. Igeyorhm. Even Nabriales. And of course, most of all, him. They WERE everywhere, in every crowd. In the Quicksand. In the Gridanian theatre square. And when she looked again a little closer, it wasn't quite them-- just someone who looked very, very similar in style. It wasn't a Garlean she saw after all standing coolly on the stage, but an elf with a distinctive two-tone haircut, and his name was Emmet', which was what had really startled her. She had sort of known she had complicated feelings there, but Astrid, the Emissary of Love, took her utterly by surprise. The title made her blush, and she imagined Astrid scowling at her from Ardbert's angry young eyes, and for some reason it was so funny. She had not realized she was developing such a fondness for Elidibus. The idea was so embarrassing. First she started liking a Garlean man, and now a man with a Midlander's body-- she didn't like men or hyur, and definitely not the two combined! She didn't know if she had exactly that sort of fondness for Elidibus; perhaps it was more of a courtly love; but she did like him, even love him. She couldn't do this. She could not kill the single remaining survivor of a beautiful, dead, ancient, fantastical civilization, who looked at her so sadly when he said that he knew she intended to kill him, and probably would. By the time he was done scolding her, she was a basket case. An absolute basket of cat. (A C'rrahsant, if you would.) So she did not. She climbed the tower and started pledging her loyalty before Elidibus, who told her to be careful; Hydaelyn could not simply shield her from being tempered by the heart of Zodiark. Elidibus left safely, and she went home to mope about how confusing and sad everything was, and ended up eating ice cream and crying with Hades-egi. A new story arc was born.
The blessing of the Crystals.
"Just a moment!" C'rrahsa burst out the front door carrying a package wrapped in brown paper. "Sorry, but can we drop off this parcel on our way?" "Only if you spill the tea," challenged Purrh playfully. "Is it personal? Who's it for?" "It's for my kitten niece. Well, I guess it's for my sister, but my niece'll grow into it. It's a storybook." "Oh, that's a lovely gift!" The swordarm beamed as they headed down Ul'dah's broad street. "What book is it?" "It's The Boy and the Dragon Gay. We didn't have it. Did you read books when you were a kit?" "All the time! Oh gods." Purrh's ears were turned toward the older woman as they walked. "My sisters made fun of me for not wanting to outgrow them, but I found them so inspiring. In fact, uh, this might sound kinda silly, but it was my favourite book that made me want to be a-- well, that made me want to learn the blade." "Oh, we were the book family in town!" C'rrahsa's voice was backed by a light purr. "So what is your favourite? Maybe I know it."
"The Dark Knight Who--" "--Who Became A Paladin!" The two miqo'te finished the title in unison. "I love that one!" enthused C'rrahsa. "I thought the summoner was the coolest ever. I wanted to be just like her, back then. Of course--" She pawed at the back of her head, smoothing her hair futilely, as the ends of the waves popped back out again. "I don't really mean I want to summon-- you know-- that didn't come out right-" "Yeah," said Purrh, laughing nervously. They were, after all, on their way to stop a real summoning of a real primal, and put its instigators to the sword as per Scion law. "I know what you meant. Anyway, didn't she have black magic too?" "She did!" C'rrahsa chirped. "So I did become like her, in a way." "Yes!" "And you became a free paladin, didn't you?" The black mage nodded towards her companion. "Well… I did." Purrh hedged. "Something about it feels like it's different. I mean, I didn't have to climb a sacred mountain that no one has ever returned from alive. I didn't even have to throw away my dignity to apologize for anything, let alone risk my life, my upbringing, everything that's ever meant anything-- I didn't have to lose a thing. I didn't have to change. I doubt I became any better." "Oh, so that's what you really wanted from being a paladin?" "Yes!" The younger cat hissed the word, pulling back her lips to expose her long fangs. "I wasn't looking for a sword technique to impress anyone or win glory or fortune, I-- just wanted to devote myself to something amazing. I didn't even get invited to train for the Sultansworn like I'd hoped. And that wasn't even a great enough thing, just protecting someone passively day in and day out. I just don't know of anything better-- anything that really deserves my devotion." C'rrahsa darted a quick, searching glance at her. "Is that why you got mixed in with the Lambs of Dalamud?" she asked softly. "Because you needed a cause?" "No, not really," whined Purrh. "That was more a family thing. The Lambs never seemed to have a purpose worth fighting for at all. They were just so negative about everything. Traditional Menphina worship is more celebratory than that. But still no concrete purpose except for mothering, and I hate just passing the duty of living down to the next generation without doing anything for it." "The mommy club," agreed C'rrahsa. "It's an easy solution to purpose. If you don't do anything yourself, maybe your real destiny is to raise the future doers." "But it's just breaking even," Purrh wailed. "It's the giving-up solution. And giving up is the one thing I can't do. Cecil would never, ever give up. It's too important. He let it break him as a person, his identity, his pride, and all, before he would ever stop trying to do the right thing, that he had to do because nobody else could get it done. That's the kind of thing I want to accomplish, to do something that takes that much. Something so big that I have to pay everything that I am in order to stand behind my cause." Abruptly the black mage stopped walking. "Did you hear something?" "Something kind of like the sky screaming?" "Falling stars," said C'rrahsa abruptly. "Just now. I saw them." "Is that what they are? They looked like little Dalamuds… I saw it too." "That felt so strange… Ah, what were we talking about, again?" "I don't know. I don't remember." Though against her own words, Purrh pointed at the parcel C'rrahsa was carrying. "Your book, I think?" "Yes!" C'rrahsa jogged the parcel in her arm. "We never had this one when I was growing up. I'm pretty sure my sister will be glad to get to read it herself, to be honest, even if she will also pretend she no longer reads kitten fantasies because she likes to sound like a serious hunter. But I think she'll be even gladder to have it for her kittens and pass it down."
"I mastered the 'paladin arts', but I cannot call myself a paladin. What does it even mean, anyway? --'free paladin'. "A swordarm with fancy training is a swordarm. Paladin-- I love that word, okay? From my kittenhood storybooks. It means something special to me, something beloved. You can't use it for anyone and anything. "If you don't want to swear to anything, then call yourself a swordarm. Nothing wrong with that, anyway! If not-- well, why do you even want to be a paladin anyway? What else makes you think that is cool? I cannot bring myself to throw out the word meaninglessly. At least I want to earn it."

I'm too cat to hold myself to rules like consistency about Miqo March, but I just took Purrh through Heavensward so I feel I would be remiss not to post her.
I wish I knew what to say to Ysayle. I don't understand her, and yet I want to. When she learned of Shiva's nature, she must have felt something strange, and I don't think I understand how she felt, but I want to. What it's like, why she feels that way. I can't imagine discovering that I was Menphina. I can't even imagine being able to understand Her. But maybe I can learn something if I listen to Ysayle. I'm not sure who else I can ask. I want to talk to her so much, and I don't know when I'm next going to get the chance.

The fun thing about people with ocs is that you can just ask them about their ocs opinions. Like oh what would your oc say about this. What would they think. How would they tell me good night. It's great
it's already humiliating when you get into new media, take one look at a character, and know that one's gonna be living in your head indefinitely, but it's absolutely nothing compared to looking at a character and thinking eh i don't think i'd ever have strong feelings about that one he's kinda boring and then he sits quietly in the back of your brain poking idly at synapses and thoughts every once in a while until one day you wake up and realise oh. oh fuck. category 5 blorbo moment, how the ever loving fuck did this happen to me

Thank you, to my friends and mutuals, for all the lovely sentiments you've been sharing this month. Yes, today is my actual birthday, and I really look forward to all the sparrow posts you've held onto until today.
I originally conceived the idea of Yein's sparrows being little guiding lights that seek out lost souls both living and not; a metaphor perhaps for the overwhelming desire to reach out and help as many people as possible. These messengers find us in our times of great need to deliver words we wish someone could offer at that very moment.
So take a sparrow with you, as your own little light. They will perch on your shoulder, hide in your pocket, or nest inside your bag. You may forget they're there on most days, but when your feet are weary and your head feels heavy, they will sing and chirp to you ⸺ and give you the determination to keep going.
You're doing so great, and someone's world is better with you in it.
