There is something fascinating about Cas trying to escape the circle of holy fire in 5.10 by loosening screws around an overhead pipe.

It recalls 4.16 “On The Head Of The Pin” and Uriel using the exact same strategy to secretly break the devil’s trap around Alastair. 4.16 was also the last episode where Cas was urged (by Uriel) to join Lucifer. The whole reason Lucifer trapped Cas in a devil’s trap is that Lucifer wants Cas to join him.
