I think about my DnD character Edmar Coralheart and his family a lot. He misses his wife (deceased) and daughter (missing). :C Edmar inherited the Coralheart family fishing business, including the boat and shop that had been there for three generations of elf. This fishing business happened to be in the dock ward of the famous city of Waterdeep.  Edmar was a rambunctious young man who loved the sea more than anything the land could offer. As a sea elf, the harbor and the ocean felt more home to him than the hustle and bustle of the city. That was until he met Pearl. Pearl was the only daughter of a wealthy family of water genasi. Their whirlwind Romeo and Juliet style romance ended with marriage. Together, they built a life on the harbor running his family shop. They were each other's moon and stars. Eventually, they brought little Muriel into the world. Everything was simple bliss until Pearl fell ill. At first, it was the coughing fits. Then the feinting. Then the doctors mentioned cancer. Ed tried everything and anything. The magic that they could afford did nothing. When Pearl passed on, so did a piece of Edmar. He spent more and more time on the ocean, away from home. Despite spending so much time on the water, the fish in the regular spots had seemingly dried up. Unknown to Edmar, a dragon had taken up residence in the harbor and fed primarily on the fish. With no fish to sell, he had no money to pay tax collectors. He had no money to feed his daughter.  Desperate, Ed turned to the Zhentarim, a gang with deep roots in Waterdeep, for a loan. The fish never returned, and it was a fight with the other fishermen to bring anything home. He took another loan. Eventually, the Zhents came to collect. When he couldn't pay he was issued a warning. When he still couldn't pay they followed up on their promises. The Zhentarim sunk his boat, ransacked his home/shop, and kidnapped his little girl. Now Ed is willing to fight his way through the underbelly of Waterdeep to rescue her and remedy his mistake.

So who’s going to tell these two that their show was a success and they love each other so much that they own a business together which they just did a pop up shop for in Berlin where Omar is on tour with Zara Larsson and Edvin is filming the Hunger Games?
