Beautiful heart-wrenched tribute to baby loss. For reasons we'll never know, we lost our baby Abigail the week of her due date. All that's known about stillbirth is that it impacts healthy mothers & fathers of all walks of life, rich or poor, and from every demographic. Gary Barlow and his wife had a stillborn daughter in 2012; Keanu Reeves and his then girlfriend had a stillborn daughter in 1999, and the list goes on & on... Do a Google search on stillbirth and you'll find it's anything but "rare." Sadly, advances in prenatal care have not helped change the staggering statistics or helped doctors explain why seemingly healthy babies die just before they're born. One thing's for certain, birthing a baby that has died is the most agonizing thing anyone will ever experience. Ever.
