Education 30 Mini Project
I wanted to do my Education 30 mini project on a short poem named “Lullabies” by Lang Leav. I heard of Lang Leav through Tumblr and enjoyed many of the poems that she writes about. This particular poem seems to personally relate to me, so I thought it would be great to reinterpret. The text in the poem is quite short and simple, but captures a lot meaning, which I really like. I’m hoping to get an audience that can relate to this poem as much as I do and have them realize that they’re not alone and that there are people out there who can help them get through this struggle. It was a very rough time in my life when I was going through this and I didn’t have much support from my friends or family because they didn’t seem to understand what I was feeling since they didn’t go through something similar to my situation. I think this would be a nice way to get other people out there who are going through the same or similar situation to know that life gets better with time and life goes on with or without their past lover or friend. I think Tumblr is a great website to use to share and analyze this poem because users can blog about their personal struggles, reblog related posts, and have a supporting community that shares the same or similar interests as well.
