I was in the mood for dumping Ed Hcs, so it’s either you ignore me, or read it, I don’t really mind XD
FIRST ONE: You may not know it cause he actively tries to hide it at school, but Edward has a tendency to make really weird noises during random silences or when he wants to talk and doesn’t know what to say. (This is totally me projecting-). Like, there will be silence in the house for a while until you just hear this man scream ‘MWAAAAAAAAAAH’ for absolutely no reason. And then he’ll just be like ‘Did not mean to do that!’ right after, cause often times he doesn’t, it’s just a habit he doesn’t have much control over other than actively restraining it.
Again, he’ll usually do it because of an urge to say something, yet have no idea what to say. But it’s also because he’s often awkward with silences and always wants to fill it in with something, hence the noises.
Some of his weird noises include:
“Hyeh. Hyeh. Hyeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeh.”
“MWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH-”
“Eheheheheheh. Haha. Fuck-haha!”
Just kinda like frickin’-frickin’ Link sounds. And that’s the LEAST of it.
SECOND ONE: When Edward listens to music and ONLY listens to music, he will space the hell out. Just sit wherever he is and just, die in the void of his mind for a while. He’ll even fall asleep if he does that for long enough.
THIRD ONE: Edward is actually really big on affection (mostly physical), despite being somewhere low on the asexual spectrum. He likes cuddles, spooning (doesn’t matter whether he’s big or little spoon), he likes to randomly give hugs, hugs in which Barry has been subjected to all of his life. It’s hilarious cause if you pair it with the first hc, you’ll get Edward hugging anyone while just going ‘mmmmmm’ under his breath and it’s hilarious as hell.
FOURTH ONE: I like the idea of him being trans, nobody can stop me. And he literally came out to the rest of the cast during one of their impromptu club meetings, in the weirdest way possible. Just, he just says ‘You know, I used to have tits- I still do, which sucks, but y’know-’ and everyone was so confused for a hot second before Nevin put it together like ‘Wait, you’re trans?’ and he just nods. Chris was also the one to say ‘I though we all had tits, tho????’ cause he literally thought Edward meant no tits, period.
Going along with that, the first people to ever buy him a binder, and I’m still conflicted about this so bare with me, could either be his gang or his dad. Two alternate ideas, for his gang they just kind of surprised him with it after school when they were all in the park lair. For his dad, I imagined this very specific scenario of his dad telling him there’s a package for him in the living room, Edward’s confused and asking if his dad did something, but then he opens it and sees it’s a stack of binders- just his size too. He just drops the box and tackles his dad from where he was in the kitchen. Both very wholesome ideas.
FIFTH ONE: Edward can dance. And I mean DANCE. He’s very free-style with it, and literally incorporates any and all dance styles he can into it, because fuck the rules, he does what he wants. It’s hard to keep up with him sometimes, because at one point he could be doing break-dance moves, and then the very next he could be winding it with reckless abandon. It’s hilarious but very impressive.
SIXTH ONE: Edward actually has a very slim waist, and very comfortable thighs. Like, in middle school before Barry got with Stacy, he and Edward would spend their weekends watching movies, Barry’s head on Edward’s lap and hugging his waist. A privilege Edward doesn’t give just anyone XD, (They still do it, it just doesn’t happen as often anymore, disappointedly for Barry). Also combining this with an hc I have about Barry being able to and liking to carry Edward, he’d often just find it fun to haul him up by his waist, and just walk around with Edward anywhere.
I gave him the first, second and third hcs bc that’s literally me projecting my actions so hard onto him, the last three just kinda make sense to me and I love it XD. If anyone wants, they can also use these headcanons, with credits at least XP
