Before he joined the SCP Foundation, Dr. Eddie Reeves was a part of the GOC or Global Occult Coalition.

Dr. Reeves used to be aggressive, nihilistic, rude, overly sarcastic and constantly smirking.

Foundation Alert to Existence: After paying off his debt, he left the military and began to work as a therapist at a private clinic. While working Reeves became close to a GOC operative, Agent Clown who he counseled at the clinic. After having a reality bender known as KTE-0998 Green killed and tortured several members of the clinic staff before being terminated by Agent Clown, Reeves joined the GOC as a medic and psychologist. He used his skills to help the GOC learn more about threat entities and their psychological weaknesses. Reeves joined the Foundation when he became more aware of some the GOC’s more nefarious actions, securing a place at the Foundation by handing over information about the GOC which helped lead to the retrieval of several anomalous items. Reeves is not proud of many of his actions as a part of the GOC and refuses to speak about his time there as Agent Elk.

EDWARD REEVES ARCHIVE, Lewes

The CMYK team were recently lucky enough to have a guided tour of the Edward Reeves photography archives in Lewes. Opened by Edward in 1858, and now run by his great grandson Tom and his wife Tania, it is thought to be the oldest surviving photographic studio, run by the same family, in the world. 

It was such a treat to be given a glimpse into the original studio and the archive that houses over 150,000 glass plates and negatives. Amazingly, almost all their records are also intact, providing a wonderful insight into the history of Lewes. Research Fellow of the London College of Communication Brigitte Lardinois is heading up the huge task of digitising the archive.

Modern and historical images from the studio will be on display in the Studio and as lightboxes throughout Lewes during the Artwave Festival 19th August – 3rd September 2017. The lightboxes, enhanced with an online audio visual tour will be displayed till 24 September.

Why you're here: Defected from the GOC after he felt they went too far. He handed over information about anomalies in the GOC's possesion in exchange for a position at the Foundation in the Psychology department.

Brighton Photo Biennial: Stories seen through a glass plate

October marks the beginning of the Annual Photo Biennial in Brighton, with lots of exciting shows and brilliant work being shown. However, not all of the exhibitions take place in the seaside town itself. Stories seen through a glass plate is a stunning exhibition held in the town of Lewes just a short train ride outside Brighton. Running from the 4th of October until the 2nd of November. 

The exhibition itself revolves around the photography studio of Edward Reeves, rumoured to be one of the oldest continuously run family photo studios in the world! In 1855 Edward Reeves set up his studio in the sleepy town of Lewes, and ever since it has been passed down the generations and is now run by his great grandson Tom Reeves.

The studio boasts an incredible archive of approximately 100,000 glass plates taken by the first 3 generations, as well as 150,000 film and digital images taken by Tom in the last few decades. 

Stories seen through a glass plate incorporates these glass plates, which have been digitally copied. They have then been placed onto light boxes. There are 55 shops in the town taking part in the exhibition, each showing one or two images of what their shops looked like up to 150 years ago. An absolutely stunning nostalgic trail looking at the past of a historically rich sussex town.

As well as the glass plates, Reeves studio will be holding an exhibition about the history of the shop.

A Murder Most Foul

As usual the MPs never fail to be a bunch of duplicitous bastards who conspire to take down those who are opposing their authority as they demonstrate another despicable crime that puts the blame on Erwin and the Recon Corp.

Thankfully Erwin merely takes this all in stride, and hardly loses a strand of composure as the MP accuse him and his legion of being murderers and that they will be forced to disband all operations.
