Petition: Ban the sale and consumption of alcohol in House of Commons venues

I would like the House of Commons to ban the sale and consumption of alcohol within House of Commons venues on the Parliamentary estate.

When recently-elected Green MP for Gorton & Denton Hannah Spencer raised the issue of a boozey atmosphere in Parliament, she was ridiculed by MPs - mostly male - from across the political spectrum. But why the hell, especially during a cost of living crisis, should MPs be able to get half-cut on subsidised alcohol and then make decisions about all our futures?
