I know, I know.... "Saki! I thought Lillian was strictly an OC for the FMA03 universe!". She is. So, "Why did you draw her in the Brotherhood art style then?" I hear you ask. Well, to put it simply... I just wanted to experiment and see how she would look in the Brotherhood Art Style. That's it |D I'll admit, she does kinda look weird, honestly, especially since her features look more detailed and defined in her canon style (FMA03). But, I suppose we could just consider this a non-canon/AU-ish(?) version if she were ever to appear in Brotherhood as Edward and Winry's daughter.
Speaking of which, I wanted to make sure I implemented the traits of her parents (namely their color schemes) and how they would translate onto Brohood!Lilli. Like, Ed's factial expressions, as Lilli's main personality traits come from her dad. Though, she's got her mom's care and stuborness as well. Her overall looks are just a translation from her canon!03 form to BroHood. And, while I don't have many images of her here on dA... I do have pages on my Tumblr that include, not just Lilli but, all of the other cast of The Mustang Conspiracy (and on again-off again collaborative story with my close friend). But, out of all of these, and more specifically: Ed's "Hair Linework". I don't know if you've noticed while watching brotherhood, but the linework in Ed's hair isn't black, it's colored--specifically a brownish gold. This was an interesting take on the style, in my opinion, as colored lineart tends to add more realism to a piece, and let's the viewer's eye go around. Whereas black linework, while easier, especially for animation, seemingly takes away from the flow of colors and shading; causing the viewer's attention to be drawn more to the linework as it's a more contrasting/dark value in an art piece. (It's also gives reason to why series that have a brightly colored or pastel style (i.e. MLP) has colored linework--letting the viewer take in the colors without any darker contrasts).
But, I digress... ^^; I'll be honest, I actually drew this up (and even had it fully completed) in 2021--It's just been sitting in my folders collecting dust until I realized "Huh. Did I never post this?" So, if the art for this looks a little lacking or not as well drawn as my other pieces I've made in the past year.... that's why. It's a more dated piece lol
