I saved, travelled and bought an 18th century tapestry from markets in France.... but it was small. I have since been collecting smaller 1970's versions from home. Some of these were sewn together and here we have an Aussie tapestry.
LINO TAMER SERIES
13 years ago Cutts bought an old Queenslander in the flood zone that is Northey street, Brisbane.
Renovating meant removing fish skeletons from the walls and ripping up lovely old lino from the fat wooden floor boards.
The lino was stored and hannah kept a vigilant eye on every council clean up and overfilled skip for years to come. Piece by small piece, she collected enough to create artworks showcase this antique linoleum and its beautiful patterns.
All the pieces are from the the 1870's to 1920's....made with 100% natural ingredients including linseed oil, cork, limestone, tree rosin and natural minerals and so look, feels and smell beautiful.
