家田 真希さんの看板が邪魔だったことは。
祐樹（デビューしたころは）プレッシャーにもなるじゃないですか。姉は国民的スーパーアイドルでＣＤを出せばすぐ１位になって。ぼくら１位取ったことないですし。
家田 芸能界の話はしてましたか。
祐樹 仕事の話は全然しないんですよ。テレビで見る姉というのは、あくまでも芸能人の後藤真希っていう感じで、まるっきり違いますね。
家田 真希さんはすごく努力された方だと。
祐樹 テレビひとつをとっても家に帰ってきたら絶対自分の番組を見返してトークで何がいけなかったのかとか。そういうことも一つひとつ、すごく熱心に研究してる人だった。同じ芸能界にいたからこそ分かるんですが短期間でレコーディングしてダンスして。しかもぼくらの曲数なんかよりはるかに多い中で、１つのコンサートのダンスの振りを全部覚えるのに１日とかでやっちゃう時とかあるんですよ。すごいなって思ってました。
家田 服役した時、真希さんは。
祐樹 僕自身のことで姉がコンサートで謝ってることを聞いて「とんでもないことをしてしまったんだな」という気持ちになりましたね。
家田 後藤真希の弟と言われることについて。
祐樹 若かった時は、もちろん「なんで姉ちゃんありきなんだ」というふうにしか思ってなかった。今、この年になってみて懲役にいったこともあるんですけど、そのたんびにすごく助けてもらいました。今となっては姉ちゃんは僕の誇りでしかない。後藤真希の弟と言われることに関しては、うれしいことです。
-- Have you ever thought being “the brother of Gotou Maki” interrupts your own life?
Yuuki: It put a huge pressure on me when we (EE JUMP) made our debut. My sister was a national idol and her single immediately went to the top of the charts. Actually we’ve never made number 1 hit.
-- Did you talk about belonging to show business with her back then?
Yuuki: We never talked about it. It felt like Gotou Maki I saw on TV was someone else other than my sister. They’re completely different.
-- People says Maki-san was quite a hard-worker.
Yuuki: She’d check her each and every TV appearance as she came home and studied in real earnest what’s wrong with her speech in it. She had to do recording and dance rehearsal in a quite brief period. I know how difficult it is since I once was in the same business too. She sometimes memorized all the choreography for an entire concert just in one day. That was amazing.
-- How she was like when you served time?
Yuuki: When I heard that she had apologized to the audience of a concert, I understood “What a terrible thing I’ve done”.
-- How do you think about being called “the brother of Gotou Maki” now?
Yuuki: When I was young, I was only thinking “Why everybody treats me like an attachment to my sis?” But now, as I got more mature and I’ve got supported by her especially when I was in jail, I’m just proud of her. I’m just happy to be “the brother of Gotou Maki”.
