Ok now that we have the theme for prison of plastic, I want to talk about some of the lyrics and what they could mean in relation to the death of Molly’s mother. (Theory under the cut)
OK SO the lyrics I want to talk about are: “innocent playing, turned to dismaying, the dead of midnight, princess of plastic, you were the matchstick”
These are sung as a part of Loralai’s verse, which is important later so hold onto that, cause we’re gonna break these lyrics down line by line!
(It is also worth noting that these lyrics are heavily implied to be sung by Molly’s mother, as there is a line near the end of the song: “come to mama”. The lyrics we’re analyzing are also shown over the picture of the Blyndeff family before the incident, so make of that what you will)
“Innocent playing, turned to dismaying”
This implies that the girls were playing when the incident happened, with their games possibly being the cause of the incident.
So the girls were playing at night, when neither of the adults would have been awake to stop it.
Directly addressing one of the girls, most likely Loralai
“You were the matchstick”
Now HERE’S the one that caught my attention! The use of the word matchstick only adds further fuel to the fire (pun not intended) for the incident being a fire. The referencing Loralai as the matchstick implies that she started the fire, albeit on accident.
Now we’re into pure speculation territory. What if Loralai was showing off her epithet to Molly and summoned Graham, who started the fire? Think about it, back in the kickstarter video, one of Loralai’s lines, directed towards Graham, was “and this is for my family, who you burned!” It would make some sense.
