At the end of last year, I had the honor to sculpt a styrofoam dead donkey body for the Swedish version of The Book of Mormons. It was all made through EffektStudion based in Stockholm, Sweden.
The faux fur and wounds were made by Therese Jansson and Robin Alderskans.
It’s so much fun building large things like this every once in a while, and styrofoam is a great material to work with since it’s light weight and you can basically get whatever shape you want. The only downside is that the styrofoam flakes gets everywhere! It takes months before all the small flakes are vacuumed up and thrown in the trash. But for larger projects, it’s the way to go.
