I finally got to watch Quiet Minds and I am bawling like a baby. I may have hated Neal's actions and treatment of Emma but his death just made me cry. It also reminded me of what first love is all about when you truly let go. It is about letting go the anger, the sadness, the hate and every bad thing they have ever done to you. It is about in one last moment holding onto to the good and saying move on and meaning it. It is watching and feeling first love die and mourning it.
For Emma it was actual and metaphorical. She lost Neal in her arms and lost the first love part of her heart that held onto their happiness and love. One of the most beautiful things of that scene is Neal telling Emma to let go and find Tallahassee with someone who will love her and make her happy. That is all any person in Emma's position wants to hear. It is the kiss of death that breathes new life into a broken heart.
Yes they may not spoken about what Neal did to Emma but Adam, Eddy and the writers did something else. They tapped into the heart and emotions of any person who has held on to the tiniest of love for the first love. They gave real and raw emotion. We may never forget about what Neal did to Emma but we will also now never forget the beautiful good-bye they had.
I cannot stop crying.
IS THE WORLD AWARE OF THIS VIDEO'S EXISTENCE?
literally distracting myself with everything I can before throwing myself back on the rollercoaster of emotions that is pretty little liars.
