[perspective training]
The Serket family and the Egbert family regularly have card night, which means Aranea and Vriska end up hanging out with Jane, John, and Jeannie. In late 1979, we have Jeannie asking Aranea about who the guy with the eyebrows on the news was (Leonid Brehznev) Aranea starts with just who Leonid Brehznev is, then realizes she needs to provide context to how he came to power, jumping back to 1964 when Khrushchev was ousted. Then she realizes she needs to provide context for Khrushchev so she jumps back to 1953 with Stalin's death, then WW2, then the great terror, then the Russian civil war, then the Russian revolution, Czar Nicholas the 2nd, until eventually she's all the way back to the Golden Horde.
December 26th, 1978, day after Christmas, John Egbert hitting the front porch, bundled up, before breakfast, snow shovel in hand. The walkway, the driveway, all will be shoveled clean of snow, early enough that the porch light is needed.
Meanwhile, Leeann and Jane are in the kitchen, tag team breakfast prep. Pancakes, bacon, eggs, orange juice. Jim waking up Jeannie, then he looks out the window to see John making quick work of the light powder, shaking the snow off his boots, before stepping back into the house, having already earned his daily bread, in the form of a full breakfast.
Egbert Family Home (Part 3)
Some aesthetic shots of John’s house, because why not! I do really love that tire swing, even though it was the only one I could find. It’s cute and I’m glad I decided to seek it out. Up next: Rose’s House!
Egbert Family Home (Part 1)
The start of my (mostly) faithful recreation of the Homestuck Kid’s houses. I wanted to release these on 4/13 but I wasn’t finished up with them yet, so they’re a bit late! But I took a few artistic liberties so that it’d look more like a lived-in, realistic house, instead of plain white walls and floors. Finding a tire swing took WAY too long, but I didn’t want to overwhelm the house with cc, so I decided against downloading a bunch of clown stuff. Jane’s will be a bit different from this house, so I’ll be doing a different version for her home.
