this is ashe - ashe is a nondysphoric gnc trans guy. he doesn’t bind because he’s aware of the health risks, and because binders are just generally uncomfortable. he wears “identity pins” to possibly avoid confusion with the people he’s talking to, and because he’s very open about his identity. he also gets upset when he gets misgendered, but he tries not to take it out on whoever misgenders him (which is hard sometimes!). he has stopped attempting to pass because it feels futile, but because of this he gets to express himself the way he wants to, which he’s happy with!

and this is dave - dave is a dysphoric trans guy who presents traditionally. he doesn’t really understand ashe, but he’s glad to have him around and he respects him and his gender identity and expression. he still binds, even though it gave him back and breathing issues, because his dysphoria is that bad. he passes most of the time, so he says he’s a feminine-looking cis guy because he doesn’t want to come out as trans. he also gets upset about being misgendered, because it’s a pretty universal trans experience and he doesn’t really understand why truscum pretend it’s a “trender” thing, but whatever.

ashe and dave love and support each other unconditionally, and cheer each other up when transphobes harass them. even though they’re different, they’re both trans guys and they share solidarity in that.
