One could easily point out that there were people in the Wayne party at the gala that were not of the lard brood that Braelyn had adopted or taken in over the years, the energetic blonde for example was very much not part of the family in a legal sense but she fit in well and balanced out the dark member of the family.

   “Stephanie, please do try to maintain appearances.” Braelyn stated, brushing a stray blonde hair from the girl’s face. “I would not like anyone to have the chance to belittle such a wonder young lady.”
