“I’m too old to hold grudges.” He told her gruffly, though she likely knew him well enough by now to guess he meant it half in humor. Just in case, for good measure, he added, “Makes your hair grey.”

Diana smied at the wizened old man. SHe reached for his hand, taking it in her own. “Well, we didn’t exactly part on the best of terms, my love,” she reminded him. Between Magog and everything that happened in the wake of Clark’s self-imposed exile things were a mess..but she was thankful that they were again able to move on.

It was true, their last goodbye had been... tense, but he couldn’t think of anything about that time that wasn’t and the idea of holding onto grudges at his age exhausted him. He would leave the grudges to all the troubled and abandoned kids that had landed in his care since then.
