uglies should have been a mini-series. peris should have NEVER been made special. shay’s casting was genius. we needed to see tally’s trip to the smoke. we needed to see her learn how to rough it and get sick of spagbol and lose most of her supplies when she crashed into the river. we needed to see the tally and shay tension because of shay’s feelings for david. it’s pretty fucking important for character development and plot.

The two purifiers pinged, and David left her to get them. "It doesn't have to be about economics," he said, bringing the food over. "The weakness could be an idea."

She turned to take her EggSal, cupping its warmth in her hands, and saw how serious he looked. "So David, is that one of the things you thought about all those years, when you imagined the Smoke being invaded? Did you ever wonder what would turn the cities into history?

He smiled and took a big bite.

"It gets clearer every day."
