Yep, love potion. You know, a love potion usually makes you feel attracted to another person that you usually wouldn't like in that (or any) way.
In Ink's case, if he takes a larger amount of the vial that contains love and affection, the emotions he gains of that vial are amplified and override other emotions.
Meaning he couldn't help but feel attracted to every person regardless of what they do or who they are. Until his emotions shift back to normal of course.
Now imagine if he’d be using the vial for the sake of ‘loving’ Error - you can guess how true this love would be if he'd have to force himself to love him by drinking this particular vial over and over again.
Better let it take its own path and keep his emotions balanced.

That's not what he's saying. And yes, it's VERY hard for him.
What he means is that he's having a hard time understanding his own feelings. It's ERROR we're talking about - he is unstable all the time already anyway, so having complex feelings for a being is not easy for him to comprehend, especially because he's driven by this inner desire to destroy what he thinks should not exist - which basically is everything. He simply doesn't know how to deal with it.
Yes, he loves Ink, but it took him some time to even realize what this kind of feeling is. In the first part of the confession (which is a flashback, remember that), he was not lying when he said that Ink got it wrong - because he didn't even realize before this himself.
At this point right now, he is aware of his feelings, but that doesn't mean he knows how to deal with them, resulting in convoluted statements and reactions. Error needs time to get used to this.

Ink never considerd this to ever happen. He was thrown off by the realization that Error likes him in a different way than just a companion or possibly a friend. He laughed because he didn't know how to deal with this situation - it was an act of desperation. He thought it's impossible for him to get into a relationship because of his... state. So he laughed it off. He never wanted to get in a relationship because he's afraid of hurting the one loving him - and he ironically ended up hurting Error exactly because of that. As for the rest of your ask... I'm sorry, but you might have to wait for the continuation a little longer. Updates are slow on our side, as you might have noticed. Sorry sorry.

Congrats! You unlocked the way how Error thinks of the multiverse!
Error wants to keep the place clean with only one universe in it - not hundreds of thousands of different universes that interfere with each other and make a huge mess.

Error can control people by tying their souls with his strings, right? (Oh geez, now I’m getting nostalgic, haha.) At some point when they fought, he tried this with Ink, too - and to his surprise, it was impossible. You can't control anything that's not there, and that's how he learnt that Ink doesn't have a soul.
