That's actually been on my mind lately since I imagine that this is who he would end up with in the DU drowxJaheira AU. So, potentially! Especially when I eventually make a comic that establishes that universe.
I have a half-based-on-lore headcanon that male drow who are that tall simply do not exist within the drow race - and those who do are ostracized or turned into manual-labor slaves, as they are more likely to have a " tainted" gene pool that explains their build and height. That taken into consideration, I think Minthara would have considered DU drow to be specially repulsive - In fact, I she was probably one of the first and few people to correctly finger him as 100% not an actual drow.
So. Not much love lost between the two for the 5 minutes they knew each other for 😂 She would have assumed there to be something profoundly wrong with him from "hello", but appreciated his volatile temper for the time being, as it would have come in handy in the massacre against the tieflings. Absolute's voice or not, she would have probably just killed him after the fact, having a strong gut-feeling that the world would be better off that way.
I'm incredibly flattered that so many people enjoy my depiction of Jaheira. I honestly do not feel like I'm doing anything special, but I will take the compliment anyway 🥂 older people are just more fun to draw!
I have to ask though... Has she been pregnant? I always thought all of her children had been adopted and I just gave her some loose stomach skin because... Well, because that's a normal thing to have!
Same as choking most over places: kind of inefficient but fun to get your sillies out before employing a more practical technique. He does not enjoy being choked, personally.
Astarion is, shockingly, often the more responsible party.

You might be surprised to learn that I am not really attracted to Astarion either 😂DU drow, though.... Yeah you got me there, at least from the neck down. But I have always felt that there are far more commonalities across bodies than there are differences - which is to say, within the right story and context, I think I can find anyone attractive 🤷 perhaps not dateable, but I can see what their partner see in them, basically. That ties nicely to the fact that I'm sort of incapable of playing these kinds of games as myself - which is how we arrive at douchebag characters like the man himself, I guess!
That's probably overly simplifying things, though. I'm sure there are always tells of which writer/artist created X character even if they do turn out to be very different people at first glance... Sorry, excuse the rambling - but the (intended) tendency to vicariously-live-through rpg characters and the different ways people approach it is something I could yap about for ages. It's all very interesting!
Also, you can rest easy knowing that he does like animals 😂

... Are you talking about DU drow's huge sack? Well. It will keep making appearances, rest assured. It's kind of impossible to keep it out of the way after all.
BOTH. DU drow has an aesthetic preference towards surface elves. He isn't necessarily into older partners, but I think that the type of personalities (confident, blunt, not too self-serious) he gravitates towards tend to lean older. He is also surprisingly young, unbeknownst to himself, so it's not difficult to find people who are his senior.
You guess correctly! DU drow can cook to survive, and he's happy to do it if he has to, but that is about it. Fat, salt, and a little pepper if he's feeling fancy- that's all the man cares to learn for now (though I could see him getting more into meat preparation in the far future). He also knows a bit about food preservation for similar reasons.
That's not to say that he doesn't enjoy a properly cooked meal, though. While he may play off as finding it unnecessary to fuss over food preparation, there's some vestige left of his old bhaalist self that appreciated meals made with artistry - he could never understand or learn what made them special, but he enjoys the complex flavors and a decent presentation to this day, in the rare occasion where he happens to eat anything mildly fancy.

1. ADHD & sugar
You’re right, caffeine boosts dopamine levels, which probably explains why a lot of people with ADHD drink coffee!
As far as I can find candy doesn’t have the same effect though. If anything, it seems as if scientists are still debating if sugar makes ADHD symptoms worse* or not. It’s possible you just have a sweet tooth! (which yknow, same, candy is so good)
* This source is about dieting with ADHD, so trigger warning for dieting & things! Also please note that you don’t have to treat your ADHD with a diet, that’s entirely your choice!
2. ADHD & tics
I didn’t know anything about tics and ADHD but I dug into a bit and it seems that tics are not caused by ADHD! Tic disorders and ADHD are definitely co-morbid thought. (Sources here and here.)
However, it seems as if tics can also be a side effect of ADHD medication. (But if you don’t take medication I’m guessing you might have a tic disorder.)
3. ADHD & depression

4. ADHD & voice/tone regulation
Hi anon! Sorry it took me a while to respond to your ask. You’re never a bother!! I’m just a bit bad at answering asks, sorry again.
Normally I try to find sources for my answers, but I couldn’t really find anything this time! I’m pretty confident many people with ADHD struggle to regulate their tone of voice though! That’s because people with ADHD often have a harder time regulating their emotions (here is a video about it!) and it would make sense to me if that also comes with struggle to regulate their voices.
5. ADHD & communication with other ND people
In the end, please know that it’s okay to have trouble with it sometimes! Struggling to regulate the tone of your voice doesn’t make you a bad or a broken person, nor does it make you rude or unkind. It’s just a bit harder for you and that’s okay!
I personally don’t know too many neurodivergent people, but in my experience I usually communicate a bit better with the other scatterbrained people I know! Probably because we all like to (and are able to!) change subjects really quickly and have really rapid conversations?
If it makes you feel a bit better, I do the same thing too! If I am excited about something I start talking really fast and sometimes I get a bit too loud too. My aunt (who also has ADHD) does this too. But I also know people who don’t have ADHD who also struggle with regulating their tone!
I’m sure it really depends from person to person though! ADHD manifests differently in everyone and it’s possible it might take a bit more work to find the a way to communicate that works for everyone! (You sound like a really sweet friend for being worried about it btw, good luck with everything!)
6. ADHD & stimming
I don’t know that much about stimming but I think so, yeah! Sometimes it’s just really nice to walk around in circles you know??
7. ADHD & hyperfixation
Another ask that has been sitting in my inbox for a long time - sorry anon!!
I haven’t had such a strong hyperfixation in a while, but this does kinda sound like hyperfixation to me!! I do still hyperfocus sometimes and I definitely recognise the whole ‘spending hours on the thing and being a bit sad when the hyperfocus ends’ thing!! So you might want to get yourself tested for ADHD? (If you haven’t done so already of course, sorry again for taking such a long time to answer!)

Yes. He has Haphephobia, the fear of being touched.
It’s not explained why he has that fear in the original comic, but we believe that he developed it due to being stuck in the anti-void all alone for so long. In other words: He’s simply not used to it anymore.
We also headcanon that Error has less problems with Ink touching him. Since Ink is lacking a soul on his own, he is (technically) not a living being.
Yup! Even after deleting all the asks about Paperjam, the “kiss already” ones or asks that want to start RPs (or other things we’ve long answered in our FAQ) we still end up having waaaay too many questions to answer them all, especially since this is just a side-blog for us. Because before we even made the blog, our Error called Ink Squid, but we also drew a Squid Ink as a joke and later on noticed it was closer to an octopus.
In conclusion: Error can’t tell cephalopods apart. They are just all squids for him. (Which seems to be a common thing among inklings as well, explaining why Error is an Inkling, too!)
( ON THE OTHER END OF THINGS, WE HAVE PEOPLE BEING VERY SAD ABOUT SEAM! I love how half my followers are literally like ‘i am sad for seam’ and the others are like ‘tHERE HE IS ITS B AST AR D’. It is immensely amusing. )
( GOSH, Drawing Lancer crying was a hard thing to do. Poor kiddo is in for the shock of his life. )
The panels of the Rudinn Gaster getting closer and closer were more symbolic to show the Knight’s power over the King! He was getting progressively closer through the chapter, but however, for that specific update, it was more of a ‘zoom in on these two characters to show that their connected in some way’ kind of thing.

Definitely give him a hug! It’s hard for me to say whether he really heard what was being said with his ears covered, but he definitely knows some bad stuff has been going on with Jevil and that’s certainly taxing on him too. After all, Jevil has been the light within the Kingdom during these tough times. And now Jevil is gone. I do think that Lancer is around 4-5 in this comic! So he can understand bad things are happening, but he is very much dependent on his father for reassurance still.
Which makes it more painful when his dad even seems to be having a really hard time as well.
GOD, THE FACT THAT ROUXLS HAS THE INSTAGRAM/SNAPCHAT GIRL AESTHETIC IS JUST PEAK CHARACTERIZATION. PROPS FOR THAT

Answer: i’ve sometimes done lil art streams for friends before! i could use the same capture software to make speedpaints sometime.... i’ve been considering it for a while actually!
my process can be a lil sloppy when i try to break it down into steps for tutorials so i think the best way to show + explain is through art streams (& video process)...
i was thinking of starting art streams on twitch in the near future too... it’s just when i’ll finally be able to get setup finally that i’d be able to set a streaming schedule

The following ask was sent in several parts and is compiled under the cut. Please be aware the subject matter and topic/themes are extremely sensitive and can be upsetting to some. I pride myself on being a blog for the minority fandom to express their thoughts and opinions and didn’t feel right not posting this on behalf of whoever sent it. Reader discretion is advised.
A bit of a long rant/concern ask here. It relates to the solid comments made by MANY about MS mental state, and I'm curious what you & others think. A major entertainment milestone this past week was the death of Michael's countryman, Terry Jones. Actually, it's weird that MS has not commented on it himself more publicly. Gaiman, many of his peers reacted. KB posted on IG about it. Jones was a legend of Wales and his death lit up the twittersphere this past week. TJ died from FTD. I would be lying if I said it didn't completely freak me out. Why? Because of some weird parallels that stand out. TJ was a Welshman in his 50s who inexplicably ran off with a 23/24 year-old Swedish "performer"/?actress named Anna of all things & had a baby girl - all to the shock & horror of family/friends. It was a total 180, out of character. Ended up estranged from his older kids for a while b/c of it. But in less than a decade he'd be diagnosed with FTD dementia. TJ's kind of FTD was reported as a form with changes in behavior and conduct as the earliest signs. Often in the 5-10 years before anyone knows the issue, there are behaviors, problems in personal/sexual conduct that come as a total shock to ppl who've known the victim a long time - but they didn't know what it was really pointing to at first. I’m NOT saying something like this is going on with MS, but I AM worried - Im a worrier by nature, can't help it. Part of me feels sick that all this- the shocking mess with Anna, getting "sloppy", oops pregnancy, conflict/estrangement with LS/KB, inappropriate behavior with young twitfans, increasing "feralness" - could be like Jones. Just the leading edge of what in a few years may be obvious to everyone as some kind of behavioral dementia. Honestly it has me so scared for him. It's incredible to say this but I'd rather he be on drugs, depressed or just a plain cheater jerk than have it be something like what happened to poor Terry.
TL; DR - All the AL/baby/feral twitter mess could really mean something is very wrong with Michael's brain. Hope I'm wrong but kind of scared. End.

AW: I actually don’t know enough about this topic or Terry or Monty Python to comment about it honestly. I went ahead and asked @ingravinoveritas what her thoughts were because she actually brought up a similar point RE: Michael’s silence about Terry’s passing a few days ago. With her consent, she gave me the following statement:
There are some valid points, yes. But I'd say that where the behavior might've been out of character for Terry, it may not be so for Michael. We know very little about his dating history beyond the public relationships he's had. How he conducts himself in private. Michael may not have said anything about Terry because he doesn't want to draw attention to some of those parallels. But Terry Jones also married his Anna and seemed to revel in his new life, where Michael seems reluctant, unhappy, even regretful for the situation he's in and that he is trying to make the best of right now. I'd also say that it's difficult to make determinations about someone's mental or physical health from this distance. That even though we feel like we have this insight into Michael from Twitter, it is truly only a tiny sliver of his whole self. What this all may be is nothing more than a midlife crisis, which he has to handle and cope with himself and hopefully with the help of people in his life who love him and can provide support. If there is anything going on beyond that, that is a private matter that is really only his and his family's business, and speculating on it will only make everyone's anxieties worse. Michael's situation is rather different. Alison, Terry’s first wife, was also the mother of Terry’s older children. Technically he had primary progressive aphasia, which affected his speech/ability to write. We also have to remember that people make choices. Sometimes it's not a condition or a sudden shift in personality due to some underlying illness. It's just that person's choice, that they have made for themselves in their own lives, for whatever reason.
We also have to remember that Michael is a man, and the only brain he might be having problems with is the one not on top of his shoulders. Terry Jones has also been categorized by the other Pythons as the Python who probably had the most sex. So his ending up with Other Anna may not be as out of character as one might think.
