Ego Drain by Valera Lutfullina
I know a lot of people who need a good ego drain
Blooming Panic is amazing. Oh my god. I am writing this under the influence of an absolutely, illegally, outrageously overwhelming amount of happy mood derived from being exposed to love in its truest, noblest of form aka otome games. Blooming Panic is amazing. I would like to shout this from the bottom of the dark hole where my heart and soul used to be. It is so charming, so cute, so adorably sweepingly teeth-rottingly lovely that I’d sell my soul twice over to make sure indie otome games like this can continue to be made. What a beautiful and wonderful era we live in !
(small note: good to keep in mind that sometimes it is not about me not having enough “willpower” or “self control”, but rather the context actually plays a significant role in whether i can make the objectively, “rationally” better choice in a situation. mood is one thing, physical and mental wellness add to that, the social circumstances if any - like peer pressure - are also in the equation. most often we disregard our mood and/or our general level of happiness, thinking that we have the same mentality as we do now versus actually being in that situation. mood varies and gets affected by a lot of things, and while it’s not impossible to forcefully overcome the effects of mood, understand that exerting willpower and self control also takes energy and *also* relies on mood. ego drain is a real thing. and so i am going to play some more, get my fill of happy mood and raise my mental energy reserve !)
