Closer with Heavyfoot than he is with Stonefin, really enjoys his medicine cat work.
Egretfeather developed his spiritual skillset very early on in his life. He had the gift of clairvoyance and always seemed to be a few steps ahead of his clanmates. Because of this, he became a highly respected medicine cat and a reliable informant for Reefstar, Skystar, and Crookedstar. He trained several apprentices and had a knack for discovering the spiritual abilities of other cats.
The cost of these accomplishments turned out to be his close personal relationships. Predicting the future and seeing through others was a powerful skill, but it kept him at an emotional distance from his clanmates. Some even complained that although he was very talented, he lacked the sensitivity they expected in a healer.
As Egretfeather entered his twilight years, and he found himself as the last surviving member of his family, he began to long for companionship for the first time. He had always had lingering affection for special clanmates, but never saw a need to act on it. Now he set his eyes on Wagyu, a younger tom who he'd always found endearing, and proposed to him. When Wagyu gently rejected him, he became more desperate. It took three moons of trying to win Wagyu over for Egretfeather to finally give up on him.
After this, Wagyu began pursuing other cats and Egretfeather resigned himself to his work. He was embarrassed and upset, and few cats knew what to say to comfort him. By the time he joined Starclan after eating tainted prey, Egretfeather was just happy to finally walk amongst the cats he visited so often in his dreams.
