i have a feeling rock (ridonculous race) hides self harm scars underneath his undershirt and I want you to know because you're the only one I know who will listen

i'd like to believe that he's currently clean but there was definitely a time where he'd actively do it and that's the reason why he wears undershirts to this day. i also like to think the only time he doesn't wear undershirts is around spud because he trusts him and doesn't make him feel uncomfortable with showing his scars.

goldfish stan hcs (bcs apparently i have the curse of mermaying out right before mermay)

ANYWAYS

so richie found stan when he was like 4-5 years old and on a beach holiday with his parents

richie named him stan bcs stan was hissing at him with a "thn" sound at the end and it kind of sounded like "stan" lmao

the way merfolk work in my au is that when they're babies, they're like tiny tiny, like size of the actual fish, but they grow to human size very very quickly

this of course means stan gets paraded around in a bucket for like 4 years

of course richie shows stan to eddie and bill

stan has a habit of biting richie's fingers whenever he gets too close- richie doesn't mind, but stan has very sharp teeth

eddie when introduced immediately got sprayed ponyo style

hes out here doing this shit and it's on sight with eddie

they thought initially it was because stan didn't like eddie but nah. stan just liked how outraged eddie got whenever he did that lmao

he was also an absolute angel with bill lmao. bill could do no wrong he was so happy whenever bill held his bucket

whenever stan was misbehaving richie used to threaten him with a goldfish bowl

stan also couldn't talk until he was like 8 so they just had to deal with his grumpy glares (or puppy eye smiles if you're bill) for like 3 years

when stan got too big for the bucket they tried getting him to live in the quarry, but after one day he was complaining about how shitty the water was there and they figured that wasn't an option

it was in the process of figuring out where to put stan that they realised if he spent enough time out of water he got legs

of course. he couldn't fucking walk. so eddie just stole the crutches he had since his mum was convinced he'd broken his leg like a year ago and gave them to stan

he still doesn't quite have the concept down but the crutches are helping

and he lives with the toziers bcs yes and georgie loves him with all his heart

also richie got very quickly annoyed when stan turned out taller than him because "wtf you were the size of my pinky finger!?!?!?"
