Woman and man feel like much stronger claims to me than girl and boy, like more saturated or uppercase rather than lowercase. (im sorry if my replying as a not-mutual makes you uncomfortable, I can go away)
that totally makes sense and I agree. (also nooo I don’t mind at all non mutuals replying to or interacting with me in any way, don’t worry!! i appreciate the reply!)

yes, that's probably it... it feels too serious or formal. also i prefer boy/girl because of the demi boy/girl terms being an option, so i kind of feel they are more flexible words.

this is a great post, and incredibly reassuring for all of us who think we might be "doing aro wrong". It's true: we are the only ones who get to decide is a relationship is romantic or not, and we are allowed to build our qprs in the ways we feel are best. Thank you for sharing this! :)

This makes a lot of sense! Personally I became much more comfortable presenting femininely after I had been out and accepted for a while, so yeah, it can change.
I suspect that might happen to me too, bc so much of discomfort is based in being misgendered so yeah

It's your relationship, and it shouldn't be defined according to what other people reckon.
