Presenting the General of the 488th, Jedi Knight Ehres Dien.

Jedi Knight of the Republic, Ehres Dien (He/They) was taken into the Order by Jedi Master Kyris Sirvos upon being discovered on the planet Nerumadai in the Outer Rim during a retrieval mission. At first, they had been met with a significant amount of reluctance and resistance from the Council. Not for the usual reason of him being far too old to train, though that was certainly the case here as well. The most pressing issue of the matter was not how he was, but what he was.
An Evereni.
None would have thought that such a thing was possible. After all it's been several centuries since the war between the Nihil and the High Republic. But regardless, there he stood before them. It took several grueling days but with Master Sirvos' unrelenting insistence, the Order finally agreed to have him trained by none other than her.
However, despite all the hardships one can face, nothing is quite like being met with the scornful gaze of prejudice. It is for this reason that their master gifted them a mask to hide that which they were born with.
Having passed the Trials, Ehres would eventually go on to undertake missions of the covert variety, utilizing their negatively-dubbed inherent skills and developed instincts to their utmost advantage.
Later on, after conducting an investigation of the creation of clones on Kamino (as tasked by his master), Ehres would uncover the extent of the decommissioning and reconditioning procedures. Upon presenting their findings to the Council, Ehres, alongside Master Kyris, proposed an intervention called the Phoenix Initiative.
And from it, the 488th 'Phoenix' Battalion was born.
