Eight Degrees Brewing Full Irish Single Malt IPA (Picked up at Fresh - Smithfield in Dublin). A 3 of 4. Smells resinous and of some caramel malt, with just a touch of diacetyl. The body has a great balance of resin and caramel malt, and tastes bigger and richer than it is. A lot more depth than many other European IPAs, and while the malts are a bit more prominent, the resinous hop profile helps balance quite nicely.

An amber ale from eight degrees. A bit too bitter for me. Very strong hints of grapefruit and orange peel. May appeal to some but not me im affraid!

I love eight degrees. They do so many different types of beers that really are all a treat. I'm a big fan of their Knockmealdown stout and I heard great things about the hurricane ipa and I had to try it! The appearance is a lovely Dark gold with a haziness and a 2 finger pure white foam head. Medium levels of carbonation. The aroma is lovely. Lots of citrus fruit such as pineapple, grapefruit, mango, passion fruit and slight lemon peel with a slight hint of pine. Smells quite hoppy. The taste has many of the same characteristics as the aroma. First up you get a very large bitterness that's hits you then it give you that lovely pineapple, mango citrus but the bitterness hangs around on the tongue. The bitter hops stop the beer being too sweet and it's perfectly balanced. Slight spice towards the backend as it goes down you're throat and you also feel the carbonation in you're throat and it becomes a very refreshing beer. Medium body with a smooth mouthfeel. Appearance: 9/10 Aroma: 8/10 Taste: 8/10 Would i buy again? Yes A beer for a sunny warm day when you need something to refresh you! Very easy to drink with great balanced flavors and lovely bitterness. Give it a go if given the chance!

It's 8 degrees here.

So I just turned off my computer and figured I'd make some waffles and watch some tv for a little then try sleeping. So computers turned off and I check my texts nothing but I have facebook notifications so I check that and reply and yadayada then I think hmm I should see what the weather is gonna be like for the next few days before I get my plans in order... I was NOT expecting to see that it is currently 8 degrees. 8! Woah baby I miss Florida.
