My score for the season! I’ve been forgetting to pick this up for YEARS! I have the graphic novel and now I have this sweet Collector’s Edition to go along with it! I love the killer box case and the goodies with this release. There are so many extras on this BluRay! In a way I’m glad I didn’t pick this up before 2018 because I’m looking forward to some 4K action. #14 Night of The Comet I thought this was gonna be just another corny B horror flick from the 80s—with horny teen boys and naked ladies. This was actually a well crafted film. I loved the strong female characters! And they had a Latino hero, yay! Usually when you have a trio of protagonists it’s 2 guys and one girl (Harry Potter, Naruto, Twilight) but this movie reversed that putting the ladies center stage. It was one of those rare times when the heroes of the story were actually making smart decisions, which saves you from having to yell at the screen. The music and fashion also aided in making this one an instant cult classic. Plus, it’s nice to finally know where that Simpson’s Treehouse of Horror parody came from. It was a fun movie. I can see why it’s got such good ratings. Not lol funny, but still funny. One time, at my house, my wife and I were watching TV when the lights started to flicker. All of a sudden it was pitch black. After a few uneasy moments the TV came back on but we were no longer watching a romantic comedy from 2009. We were watching a hit television show from the late eighties. It was horrible. The fashion, the sounds, the canned laughter... We tried to change the channel but nothing happened. We tried to shut it off but it wouldn't go off. We were stuck. "Please Mr. TV! Take me back to the 21st century", I cried. My wife was frantic at this point. The television started laughing. I looked down and I saw my shirt had shoulder pads. We were stuck. Resistance was futile. I woke up screaming.
