The head of the Schnee Dust Company was heading out on one of his last expeditions. His health had been declining recently, and his doctor told him that he needed to stop leading the Dust mining expeditions as soon as possible. But Nicholas had promised the crew that he would be there, and he didn't want to disappoint them.

He'd been packing up his supplies when his young granddaughter appeared. She'd apparently been watching him for a little while, and he smiled at her request, beckoning her to come inside.

"Why don't I take you with me now?" he asked once she'd approached. "We have a little bit of time to get some supplies together for you, and you should see how everything operates." After all, she would likely take over the company one day, and he wanted to make sure she knew as much about how it worked, from the ground up, so to speak.

He would explain to her parents that it was educational, and they would let her go with him. As far as he was concerned, that was that.

"Make sure you pack some warm clothes that you don't mind getting dirty," Nicholas added, a twinkle in his eye. This was going to be an excellent expedition after all.

"Every once in a while these youngsters try and tell me that I'm old, I should rest and relax into my retirement. And to that I say: Ha!

"I'll rest when I'm dead. Until then, these kids can push me around in this stolen shopping cart I won in a dance-off in a Denny's parking lot last week."

I may have to talk to them yet, but I mean, if you haven't checked their blog do it right now because their portrayal is extremely accurate, and so all their hcs and whole aesthetic!

And, let's say they give Winter the whole badass vibes she truly deserves!

I cannot wait to plot with them and throw some of my muses at Winter (And, I'm somewhat assuming she'll be so pissed of at some of them!)

Oh, he had absolutely heard of Winter Schnee, beyond the fact that she was the currently disinherited heiress to the Schnee Dust Company, and he was very curious to learn more about the woman herself.
