Pocketful of Sunshine \\ Throwback to the only (kinda) successful hike I did in Scotland. Couldn't have done it without Fifi, literally. I don't think many people know that I'm actually afraid of heights. Heck, I didn't even know to what extent my fear is. But to check off my wishlist of hiking in Scotland, we picked an easier Eildon Hill (only 422m elevation) at the Scottish borders. Somewhere along to route, maybe post-100m elevation, I started feeling it (but I haven't freaked out yet). Then, it reached a point where I need to hold Fi's hand. Pretty sure it was around 300m elevation (I recall Fi saying "100m more!"), the real fear kicked in and I could no longer take any photos. Core memory created - when we stopped for a break, and this adorable, thoughtful woman took my hand and put it around her arm so that she had her hands free to drink her water without worsening my anxiety 🥹 I didn't even realise how much I needed it! The views weren't super but the entire experience was ❤️❤️❤️. PS. If you're wondering how I took photos at the peak, it's because I stayed right in the center cause that's when I'm far from the edge. • • • • • • #throwback #evtravels #eildonhills #melrose #scottishborders #chuk22 #bbctravel #uk #unitedkingdom #vsco #lightroom #GalaxyS21Ultra #thetravelintern #travelgram #scotland #visitscotland #passionpassport #evgoestouk #withgalaxy (at Eildon Hills) https://www.instagram.com/p/CpfqALVpBfX/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
