Eileen was born to two loving and unique people. Her Father, Wendell Clover, was a miner in District 12, and her mother, Marie, though much younger than him, loved him intensely for his kind spirit. While Eileen was the second child, she was not second in love. Her mother and father adored her and her brother Cornelius with all of their hearts and constantly encouraged their creativity and well-being, hoping that they would be citizens rather than capitol pawns. Tragically, Wendell died in a mining accident, a process that was slow, and Marie took ill trying so hard to care for him and starved soon after. Cornelius supported Eileen until she was old enough to remember and care for herself, until he had an accident as well. Eileen doesn't remember her parents too clearly, but she does remember one thing clearly:
